I love everything about it - how you can organize everything in spaces, folders, and lists. You can also create templates so you don't have to reinvent the wheel each time a project starts. I love the ClickApps primarily the timetracking tool which helps me give an overview of where I spend my time the most. The good thing about ClickUp is that as long as you add all the necessary details when creating tasks (such as priority levels, time estimates, due dates, etc.), using ClickUp will be a breeze.

What do you dislike about ClickUp?

ClickUp is slow. I'm hesitating on going "all in" to ClickUp because it's not a reliable application in regards to its speed. We still use Google Docs/Calendar/Sheets to collaborate as a team but I would love it if ClickUp will be optimized in the future so that we can start using ClickUp more.

What problems is ClickUp solving and how is that benefiting you?

ClickUp helps me stay on track. Tasks are sorted by Due date and priority level in the home page, you can see your own future workload in the WORKLOAD view so I can plan ahead. I can use the Time Tracking tool to keep track of how I spend time and decide on what I want to focus on for the succeeding days/weeks. ClickUp helps me get things done.

Despite having the ability to combine spreadsheet and database functionality, it is not as powerful as dedicated spreadsheet software for me.

The best attribute of Smartsheet is it's ablity to maintain a large repository of information, accessible by project managers whenever they need it. In addition, the customised automation means that I can keep tweaking the sheet so that improvements keep flowing.

What do you dislike about Smartsheet?

Date format of attachments does not mimic the regional settings. i.e. If I set my date format to DD-MM-YY, the attachments are still listed as MM-DD-YY. I'd prefer consistent format for all dates.

What problems is Smartsheet solving and how is that benefiting you?

The first of several Smartsheets that I have created centralises and automates our National QA reporting process, reducing inefficient "to and fro" emails and instead collects all necessary project and product information via a smartsheet form. Once our QA team has all the critical information, we can then ensure Project Managers are automatically notified with the right QA reports for their customers, on time, the first time, everytime.

Another Smartsheet has also been made to capture all Laboratory purchase orders and sample disptaches, ensuring we keep good tracking information, such as orders, consignet details, invoices, email communications etc of all the different tasks we have on the go.

All the details that are needed to execute on deliverables and action items are housed within task and project descriptions to keep everyone on the same page. Native time tracking allows us to pull billing reports and keep track of everyone's timesheet. Blueprints save the project management team time while keeping our processes consistent across departments and deliverables. The request forms have been beneficial as a way to facilitate organized communication between external clients and our internal production team.

What do you dislike about Wrike?

While Wrike has dependencies/predecessors built into the system, it doesn't "hide" tasks being "blocked" by a predecessor in task do-to lists such as on dashboards. Because of this, employees might start working on a task that isn't ready for them yet without them realizing it, which can waste time and resources and cause confusion. Our workaround was to use Wrike's automations to automatically change the status of a dependent task from 'Not Ready' to 'New' when the predecessor task has been set to 'Complete' or 'Cancelled'. This way, our team knows at a glance that a task on the 'Not Ready' status indicates there are things that need completed before that task can be worked on, rather than having to open the task & dig into the list of dependencies.

What do you like best about Basecamp?

Since I started using Basecamp for my work, project management is much more efficient. The whole team is informed in real time of assigned tasks, deadlines and related updates. Basecamp also offers several tools for organizing and sharing files, which makes teamwork much easier.

What do you dislike about Basecamp?

One of the things I didn't like about Basecamp is that there is no option to add subtasks to the main task. This can be a bit confusing when organizing more complex tasks. I also found that the platform can sometimes be a bit slow when loading large amounts of files, but overall it wasn't a big problem.
